If you haven’t heard, we have lots of mosquitos in Louisiana. With the recent arrival of the Zika virus, my wife determined that it was time to eliminate all possible sources of standing water. Never mind that the neighborhood retention pond is 30 yards away. The last thing to go was the dog’s water bowl.
To provide water for the big dog, we installed a dog faucet on the outside spigot. When the dog licks the faucet, water comes out. I didn’t have much faith in her learning to use it, but she proved me wrong!
Good dog!

My Lab did that with the backyard faucet. It's entertaining to watch.

You bought a doggy faucet? Did you have problems with it leaking?

No, this was just the regular faucet on the back of the house. He’d always stick his head in it when I filled his water bowl. It did start leaking, though, so I capped it and just fill his water bowl in the house now.
